Looking after your skin can be a bit more taxing than you might have thought. It’s not a one-size-fits all situation and you really have to nurture your skin according to its needs. Face oils are a great way for you to do that.

Packed full off necessary vitamins and other beneficial ingredients, facial oils are the best way through which you can give your skin what it needs. Take a look at the following to pick face oils according to your skin type.

Face Oils for Dry Skin

Dry skin doesn’t make enough natural sebum so you may experience more wrinkles, flaky skin or have skin that feels rather stretched. Facial oils with argan or marula oil are great since they help moisturize and keep it hydrated throughout the day.

Acne Prone or Oily Skin

If you have acne prone or oily skin, this means your skin produces an excess of natural sebum. Several factors can cause your oil glands to overproduce sebum due to hormonal changes or over washing. Oils such as evening primrose, grapeseed and rosehip that are thinner in consistency and higher in linoleic acid are best to balance out natural oil production and absorb more easily into the skin. Lavender is also a wonderful astringent and anti-inflammatory for breakouts.

Combination Skin

If you’ve got combination skin, then you tend to get oily in your t-zone and can experience dryness or dry patches around your cheeks. Finding facial oils for this skin type can be a little challenging but you can easily use the maracuja oil that can address these various issues and keeps your skin fresh and supple.

Normal Skin

Normal skin is the easiest to pair since it doesn’t have any special needs. Don't be afraid to experiment with different formulas until you find what works for you. To maintain great skin we recommend using our Detox and Brightening Night Treatment to promote cell turnover at night and wake up with a radiant complexion.

Mature Skin

Mature skin needs some extra loving care since it tends to run low on collagen which keeps the skin smooth and firm. The sun and pollution over time can really take a toll on your skin as well. Facial oil blends with argan oil or baobab oil can work wonders on treating and protecting the cells from sun damage and free radicals and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
